2020 Virginia Governor's Cup - Gold

The 2016 Raisin is composed of 73% Petit Manseng that has been dried in our tobacco barns. During the drying process the sugar goes from 28% up to 36%, essentially raisining the grapes and giving it its name. The remaining 27% of the grapes are Roussanne, which is aged in stainless steel. Our Raisin d’Etre has tropical and candied fruit notes that are balanced by the nice acidity. This wine has great aging potential. It pairs well with cheese and non chocolate desserts.
